Introduction

St. Stephen Institute of Technology was established in 1995 and accredited by the National Accreditation and Quality Assurance Authority (NAQAA) of The Gambia. It is community-based and capacity development oriented. In its 30 years of existence, over 500,500 students have graduated with Certificates, Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, and Graduate Diplomas in various fields of study. These graduates now serve the nation and community in various professional roles.

It is a remarkable achievement to find alumni of the institute working as bank managers, senior military officers, custom officers, entrepreneurs, and IT professionals in both software and hardware sectors. The institute maintains a strong academic record, consistently achieving 100% results in local and external examinations such as ICM, ABE, City & Guilds of London, and its own high-standard IVQ exams.

The academic and professional excellence of the institute is fueled by its energetic licenced lecturers and the pragmatic leadership of its proprietor and principal.
